We are pleased to announce that the Leaside Memorial Gardens Swimming Pool will reopen Monday, July 20th at 7:00am for drop-in leisure and lane swim only.

The Leaside Memorial Gardens Swimming Pool is a City of Toronto facility maintained by the management and staff of Leaside Gardens. The pool programming is managed by the City of Toronto. For more information call 416-396-2822 or visit City of Toronto website.

Health and safety protocol at the pool will be executed/monitored City of Toronto staff members. All staff members will be wearing face masks and appropriate PPE at all times. There will be separate entry and exit points to ensure that people leaving the pool will not come into contact with those entering the facility.

Hours of operation:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 7pm and Saturday 12:00 noon – 4:00pm, Closed Sunday

Programming:

Monday – Friday Lane Swim

  • Swimming is restricted to 1 person per lane unless for family use which allows for no more than 4 per lane.
  • Swim sessions 45 minutes per lane
  • One person in for every one person who leaves throughout the day

Saturday – Leisure Swim

  • 45 minute sessions:
    12:00-12:45pm | 1:00-1:45pm | 2:00-2:45pm | 3:00-3:45pm
  • Maximum of 33 swimmers per session
  • One person in for every one person who leaves throughout the day

Before going to a pool:

Before going to any pool or splash pad, you must complete the Ontario Ministry of Health self-assessment for COVID-19 and if you do not pass the assessment, you should not visit any pool or splash pad.

In compliance with the City of Toronto Mandatory Mask or Face Covering By-Law 541-2020, wearing a mask/face covering is required in indoor public spaces.

This includes:

  • change rooms
  • washrooms
  • all other inside spaces
  • The face-covering can be a mask, scarf, bandana, other cloth covering or non-surgical paper mask as long as it covers your nose and mouth.

You don’t need to wear a mask or face-covering:

  • outdoors
  • on the deck
  • in the pool

Community Centre Sign-In

Everyone must sign in when using a community centre or an indoor pool.

This includes:

  • providing a first name
  • providing an email address or phone number
  • answering COVID-19 screening questions

This will help with Toronto Public Health contact tracing if it’s necessary.

  • Follow physical distancing protocol signage for lining up outside the facility
  • Read and adhere to all related signage

Dressing/Change Rooms:

  • You must wear a mask or cloth face-covering except when in the pool or on the pool deck.
  • Capacity will be limited to allow for physical distancing and so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to swim.
  • Follow directional and distancing signage

Continue to follow Toronto Public Health guidance while visiting community recreation centres or indoor pools:

  • practise physical distancing
  • practise good hand hygiene often. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer
  • sneeze or cough into a tissue or your elbow
  • keep to your own social circles

Cleaning:

  • All touch points will be wiped down by City of Toronto staff
  • LMCG staff will sanitizing every 2 hours with a thorough cleaning each night after programming has been completed.
