Please note that our community public skating, normally held from 5:15PM-7:15PM on Saturdays, is cancelled on March 21st as the arena is hosting the Toronto Leaside Wildcats’ girls’ hockey tournament. We wish all participating teams very good luck! And we look forward to welcoming back our community skaters on March 28th.
Please note that community public skating is cancelled on Saturday February 28th as we are hosting the Leaside Hockey Association’s House League Tournament. Community Public Skating will resume on Saturday March 7th from 5:15PM-7:15PM.

With September just around the corner we are pleased to provide an update on our public skating and shinny schedules. Due to the ongoing construction on the Bert F. Grant Rink, we will not resume weekend community skating until late January 2026. Click here for complete details.
The staff, management, and board of Leaside Gardens join the community in mourning the passing of Dr. Bob Pashby. Bob and his family were tireless supporters of safety in our community and throughout the country, stewarding the legacy of their father Dr. Tom “Doc” Pashby. Bob and his siblings, Jane and Bill, represented the Dr. Tom Pashby Sport Safety Fund on the arena’s safety committee, and the “new” rink is named in their father’s honour: “The Doctor Tom Pashby Play Safely Rink”. Bob was a regular attendee at our adult community skate and will be missed by our extended arena community.
Community skating will take place on Sunday December 22nd, Sunday December 29th and Sunday January 5th per our normal schedule: Rink B 3:00PM-4:30PM. This is open to all ages (helmets mandatory for 12 and under) and is free of charge.
Please note that our weekday adult skating and shinny is cancelled on December 24th, 26th, 31st, and January 2nd. We look forward to welcoming our adult skaters and hockey players back on Tuesday January 7th.
Tuesday public skating and shinny will not take place on Tuesday November 26th due to a commercial shoot. We’ll resume at our regular time on Tuesday December 3rd. (Thursday public skating and shinny proceeds as scheduled on November 28th.) We apologize for any inconvenience.
